In the past, I have spent a lot of time and effort to write the blog each year...but the hard part is to keep it interesting from year to year.

This year, I will not be posting each day, the bad part about that is that it makes it hard for people who want to follow it on a daily basis, and may forget about the blog if it is not every day.

However, I am only going to post when we have something interesting to say, which also makes it easier on me. There are likely to be quite a few posts in and around the time when we attend the quinceanera for Karelly who is now 15 and has waited from August when her birthday was until we are there to celebrate her big day.

For those of you who don't know what it is...One of the most important celebrations in Mexican culture is the tradition of thequinceañera. This constitutes a ceremony on a girl's fifteenth birthday to mark her passage to womanhood, to give thanks to God for his blessings, and to present a young woman to the community.

We are leaving Winnipeg on Sunday morning right around 8AM I hope. We should be in Council Bluffs at Harrah's Casino, where our free room awaits, around 5PM or so.
